The Faculty of Engineering
and Technology of the USC admits students in Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
and Industrial Engineering, and in Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Civil
Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and in Discontinuous Bachelor's Degree for
Applied Software Computer through the general entrance exam of universities. There
have been 1544 students 783 female and 761 male studying in spring semester of 2007
at this Faculty.
EDUCATION FACILITIES
Besides library facilities
and the internet sites, the USC has provided the latest scientific sources and valid
scientific magazines – national and international – for the members of education
board and students by being connected to the valid scientific websites. Moreover,
necessary labs and workshops needed by various faculties and departments are established
and equipped at the campus some of which are as follows:
- Physics labs 1 and
2.
- General chemistry lab for material resistance.
- Measurement and accurate devices.
- Soil mechanics of construction materials and concrete technology.
- The foundations of electricity.
- Welding workshop.
- Turnery workshop.

CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
The department started its activities
in 1998 by giving admission to 140 students through the general entrance exam of
universities in two levels of Associates degrees in concrete buildings and Bachelor's
degree in civil engineering. The students were last admitted to the Associates course
in 2003. There has been no admission for the Associates level since then following
the enactment of the board of trustees for the Associates degree in civil engineering.
There are now 268 students studying in civil engineering department (2007).
The period of studying in the civil engineering course is 8 semesters (4 years)
and the students are required to pass 141 credits to graduate.
